Welcome back. I initially struggled getting into this book, I found the translation in the first 50 or so pages a tad jarring resulting in a lot of short sentences. Race against the clock, a criminal playing games with the elite squad and an atmosphere you would never have believed possible in China. I didnt really feel that engaged with the characters and its a bit sad to say but wasnt too worried if any of the main detectives perished. Raced to the end, had a satisfying conclusion, and I’m disappointed that the next in the series isn’t translated yet. The is the movie I wanted to have since I borrowed a copy in a library.
