We had a wonderful new years eve dinner, with the most spectacular buffet I have ever seen. For us coming from USA it's a very long flight and honestly in 11 days we had been there, we have not met even one couple from USA. A holiday that lasts for a lifetime! I felt very safe and comfortable to be alone, walk around the island and to take meals alone. Meezad just made it even more special with his kind, attentive, and friendly manner. We had to evacuate the room at 12 noon. We arrived on the 28th Dec and stayed for 14 nights. Made for adventure seekers, romance and water lovers. Every night I watched sunsets, and it was the best sunset I had ever been able to capture on camera.

I used the gym, as a keen road cyclist I did my best to retain some of my fitness on the bikes in the gym. It was well worth the wait, having visited 4 other Maldivian islands on 5 occasions, although they were all wonderful, Vilamendhoo was better, I couldn't find fault at all. Just one note about food. His attention to detail was outstanding, his hospitality, kindness and sense of humour just make that bar special, it was a nice place to relax. Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa has been completely refurbished, so everything feels box-fresh. We started to walk around island every morning at 6 am and we saw large cleaning crew that was already at work - that's how clean this place is. At 11 am a guy from the reception come to see us and told us our seaplane flight was scheduled at 3 pm. The Ocean Discovery is a great tour indeed and pleased to see you liked it that much. After such a long time of planning to come to our island and having been travelling in Maldives before, we are glad we to finally have been able to welcome you, live up to your expectations and convince you with our culinary choices, facilities as well as the service of our great dedicated team. As a result of 2015 El Nino & the rise of ocean temperature, most of the corals were bleached and they are coming back slowly. I am pleased to see that you fully enjoyed our offers and services.
